Ball Check Valves

Uni-Flo Ball Check valves prevent fluid returning through the pipe by displacing the ball on return flow. The valve is silent closing, full bore and has unrestricted flow with 50% lower head loss than conventional valves. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertical.

Key Specifications & Features

    • “Single Door” indicates a single-disc check valve as opposed to a “double door” (dual-plate) style.

    • “SS304 Disc” means the disc (the moving part that blocks reverse flow) is made of stainless steel grade 304. That’s good for corrosion resistance.

    • “Wafer type” (if matches similar models) means the valve has a compact body and fits between two flanges (sandwich style) rather than being fully flanged with its own flanges.

    • The body may be cast iron, ductile iron, or possibly stainless steel depending on the specification; one would need to confirm for the exact model.

  • Typical/Expected Features & Benefits

Based on general industry practice for single-disc wafer check valves and what the manufacturer lists:

    • Compact length / wafer style: less space required than full flanged check valves. (See installation distances in Sanspar literature) EngNet South Africa+1

    • Quick closing: Single disc can respond fairly quickly to flow reversal, helping reduce back-flow and potential water hammer.

    • SS304 disc: Good corrosion resistance, suitable for many water/industrial fluids.

    • Installation options: Likely usable in horizontal and possibly vertical pipelines (depending on model) — though orientation should be confirmed.

    • Straight-through flow path: Wafer style and single disc gives low head loss (relatively) compared to bulkier check valves—good for maintaining flow efficiency.
