What is a PVC male adapter?
U-PVC male adaptors are designed to glue onto your pipe line giving you a male pipe thread on one end. Male adaptors can thread into any PVC fitting with female pipe threads. It is recommended to use thread tape to ensure proper joint security when using male adaptors and to prevent leaks.
Male adaptor, threaded on one side socketed on the other, to be solvent weld or glued. Take note of the different BSP diameter (20mm) and Inner Diameter (20mm).
Special chemical glues can be used to create a solvent weld which will fuse the pip and fitting into one. These fittings can typically be used in cases where there is a female threaded component that needs to be screwed in. Should the piping or component not have male threading of its own this male adaptor fitting is exactly the fitting to use.
