What is a PVC Female adapter?
U-PVC female adaptors are designed to glue onto your pipe line giving you a female pipe thread on one end. female adaptors can be screwed into any PVC fitting with male threads. It is recommended to use thread tape to ensure proper joint security on the male thread when using female adaptors and to prevent leaks.
Special chemical glues can be used to create a solvent weld which will fuse the pip and fitting into one. These fittings can typically be used in cases where there is a male threaded component that needs to be screwed in. Should the piping or component you want to fit not have Female threading of its own this Female adaptor fitting is exactly the fitting to use.
