Accommodating our customer base

Should you as an individual or group, disagree with or would like to revoke permissions of, matters described in this privacy policy; Superpump will gladly look into accommodating your requests to the greatest of our ability. Please send such requests to admin@superpump.co.za and place ‘privacy policy query’ in the subject line. We will do our best to reply to your email as soon as possible. 

Website usage

Superpump makes use of websites, portals and web-pages as part of it’s marketing strategy. In particular the online shop at stated url (https://www.superpump.co.za/shop/). Is a e-commerce platform where visitors can view products we can supply. The products online does not reflect the products kept in store at any of superpump’s branches. Furthermore while the online shop strives to be as user-friendly as possible we understand that the water pump industry is large and multi-faceted. As such Superpump reserves the right to remove, add, or otherwise manipulate any of our products without notice and at our discretion. 

Product displays

While we try our best to display products in the best aesthetic and realistic manner possible we reserve the right to make use of images that do not convey products in their entirety or actual appearance. Therefore it is important that users understand that images are used for display purposes only and are not intended to represent the actual item. 

Product descriptions

Each product or product set is awarded a description that helps users understand what the product is used for as well as other details about the product such as composition, brand etc. Product descriptions are not written by professional pump engineers or otherwise qualified individuals whom may be versed in the respective item. Descriptions are however researched and extracted from the manufactures of respective item. By using the website users understand and agree to the aforementioned facts. Superpump will not be held liable for users ordering or purchasing incorrect items. Superpump encourages users who are unsure about what they need to contact our sales team as they are knowledgeable about the products we provide and are tasked with the very purpose of helping clients make the best product selection for their needs.

Product pricing and prices

Superpump maintains the website and all products listed on the site, as such we are limited by the information supplied to us by respective suppliers and their price-lists. Superpump reserves the right to change products, descriptions, categories and all information displayed by the product including prices. In the event that prices have not been updated customers who order products with incorrect prices will have their orders cancelled. Soon after, the products in question will be updated as it is brought to our attention. Any amounts paid on an incorrectly priced product can be refunded to the customer or kept as credit with Superpump. Any product that seems to bare a price that isn’t correct should be inquired on by contacting “shop@superpump.co.za” or “marketing@superpump.co.za”. 

Liability and responsibilities

When users use, order or purchase from the online shop at the aforementioned URL (https://www.superpump.co.za/shop/) they are responsible for the entire process. They are solely responsible for the identification of the product(s), the selection of said product(s) and responsible for all fees incurred for acquisition of said product(s) including returning the item(s). This means that as a user you agree that when using the online store to purchase products you have successfully determined that the product you are ordering is indeed the product you require. You the user are responsible with checking and confirming the product is what you are looking for or will function to your expectations.  Superpump is a customer-centric business and as such we are willing to assist customers who mistakenly order items or order the incorrect items that they require. However this does not mean Superpump is liable for any charges incurred during this process, Superpump accommodates refund requests, we will give clients a full refund following our refund request process which is subject to those terms and conditions. 

Improvements and suggestions

We encourage users to send improvements and suggestions to marketing@superpump.co.za or shop@superpump.co.za so that we can help our client base have a user friendly online water pump store. Product details, images, features, descriptions, titles, subtitles and conventions are encouraged to be forwarded to the above email addresses. This is an effort to create an online user experience that is suited to Superpump’s target audience.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Superpump does not use automated decision making software or do profiling by using user data. However third parties such as google analytics may do so in accordance with law and permissions give by you the user.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Should a breach in our security occur Superpump directors have remote access to all web based systems that hold sensitive information. They can therefore cease activity on these platforms and lock the account from all modes of access.
Ranging across the different cloud services SuperPump uses they cannot be accessed through one another or using the same credentials preventing a breach from accessing other areas where information is held.
