Sanspar SS304 Pin-less Disc Butterfly Valve 300mm
DESCRIPTION
Uni-Flo cartridge design keeps the elastomer from shifting during installation, lowers seating and unseating torques, reduces seal fatigue, and minimizes seat swell. Crafted from premium materials, this valve offers superior durability, leak-proof performance, and ease of operation. The lug design is suitable for BS4504 T10/T16 and BS10 TD up to DN450. Contact Sanspar for BS10 TD application for DN500 to DN700.
SS304 Pinnless Disc: 826P
- A lever operated, chrome (or nickel) plated disc – commonly used for water/irrigation systems.
-
A wafer‐type body (fits between flanges), ductile iron disc, rated to PN16 (≈16 bar)
- Nickel plated disc variant, which is in the same category of “chrome/nickel plated” discs.
“Pinless disc” refers to a valve design where the disc is mounted without external pivot pins (or the pins are hidden) so that the disc axis doesn’t protrude through the valve body in the way traditional butterfly valves might. Benefits:
-
Reduced leak paths: If the disc pivot doesn’t go through the body as a separate pin, there’s less chance of leakage along the pin.
-
Cleaner flow path: The absence of external pivot pins or exposed bearings can mean smoother internal surfaces and less turbulence/cavitation.
-
Better durability: Less wear on exposed pivot pins, fewer parts to maintain or seal.
-
Simplified design: Especially useful in wafer type valves between flanges.
Benefits
-
Good corrosion resistance thanks to SS 304 disc (especially vs plain iron disc)
-
Pinless design gives improved sealing reliability, fewer leak paths, possibly lower maintenance.
-
Cartridge seat design avoids seat shifting, improves torque consistency, which means easier operation and better service life.
-
Compact butterfly valve design (less weight/space versus gate/ball valves) so easier to install in retrofit or constrained areas.
